The System and Data Analyst is a critical role in driving results in the Private Client US Sales Group.  The System and Data Analyst works across all internal sales teams to help them achieve their objectives by providing timely data and analysis to drive business decisions.  Your work may include problem-solving questions teams have about their sales results or proactively identifying areas for improvement based on your own analysis of the business.  You will also have the opportunity to lead and perform complex analysis in an evolving data environment that impacts groups within and outside of Sales, and will develop a broad understanding of the Fisher Investments marketing and sales process.  Your fact-driven analysis will be a key contributor to the success of Sales, which ultimately builds the success of the firm.

In this role you will:

  • Work with sales management to support all phases of sales efforts to ensure accurate results in the data & analysis, leading both “day-to-day” analysis as well as complex problem-solving projects. Complete projects that require data mining, analysis, and presentation
  • Focus on deep dives into data to find problems or trends, reduce unnecessary cost and/or increase ROI, and drive better business decisions
  • Represent data and conclusions to different business groups across different levels of management
  • Work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching.  You will need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions
  • Provide fact-based recommendations based on sales attribution, budget, and multifactor analysis
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity by consulting with business users and performing data operations

Ideal Characteristics:

  • Broad understanding and experience in analytics: data stores, data architecture, and related analytical tools
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Practical working knowledge of the following software packages: MS Visio, MS Excel, MS SQL Server
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education/experience.  Strong math and analytical skills are needed
