The Vice President of Client Development is responsible for bringing new assets to Fisher Investments by actively following up with existing clients who have liquid assets outside of the firm’s management where we believe our investment strategy and service experience are a superior option for the client.  Individuals in this role will meet with clients via telephone and in-person to garner additional business, present recommendations to clients for managing the additional assets, and work to generate new referral leads.



  • Sell the firm’s investment management service to existing clients who have liquid assets outside of the firm’s management
  • Follow through on Fisher Investments provided leads through a combination of phone and in person sales and service
  • Seek referrals from current clients by leveraging their relationships with friends, family members and business colleagues
  • Complete extensive phone calls to review clients’ financial profiles, investment objectives and time horizons, including a full review of their objectives for any assets not currently being managed by FI
  • Explain firm policies, including billing matters, to existing clients
  • Explain and obtain documentation needed to add accounts not managed by Fisher Investments including Letters of Agreement when necessary and/or  brokerage statements of accounts not managed by Fisher Investments
  • Operate and represent Fisher Investments with the highest level of integrity and work ethic


  • Highly competitive and goal-oriented sales professional
  • External sales experience with a strong track record of success
  • Series 65 license preferred, or if not currently held, completion of the examination requirements will be required within 60 days of hire or designation
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and investment product knowledge
  • Demonstrated track record of growing business via referrals
  • Able to handle sensitive, complex or high-profile clients
  • Dynamic, courteous and business-like phone manner
  • Excellent listening and probing skills
  • Proficient written and oral communication
  • Professional presentation style via phone and in-person
  • Efficient and organized time management skills
  • Willingness to travel, as needed
