Overview

The Opportunity:

 

Are you a methodical thinker, intellectually curious, and motivated to guide others? As a Portfolio Evaluation Analyst, you will deliver custom portfolio solutions for clients with complex and significant asset situations. You will report to the Portfolio Evaluation Group Manager and serve as the primary PMG coordinator and point of accountability for complex High AUM (High Assets Under Management) client cases. You will partner closely with High AUM Investment Counselors, Service Teams, and relevant partner teams to drive cohesive recommendations tailored to each client's goals, constraints, and broader financial situation.

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Lead comprehensive evaluation of HAUM client investment objectives, financial situations, and constraints to develop tailored asset allocation, benchmark, and portfolio strategy recommendations.
  • Be the primary PMG coordinator and point of accountability for complex HAUM client cases to align stakeholders, surface tradeoffs, and drive cohesive recommendations across PMG and partner teams.
  • Design and implement advanced portfolio allocation and transition management plans for HAUM clients, ensuring that recommendations are thoughtfully tailored to reflect their unique risk profiles and investment goals.
  • Apply proficiency in Axioma, multi-year tax analysis, and tax-aware portfolio solutioning to synthesize complex inputs, evaluate alternatives, and develop recommendations for higher-stakes HAUM situations.
  • Communicate directly with clients to present and strengthen recommendations, participate in in-person client meetings, and travel as needed for client-related activity.
  • Provide direction and support for non-standard projects, ad hoc analyses, and complex casework tied to HAUM client needs, with an emphasis on delivering clear recommendations in situations that require elevated discretion and judgment.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with portfolio management and investment strategies
  • Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Experience working across teams and working effectively across business units and partner functions to support cohesive client recommendations.
  • Ability to present recommendations to clients, participate in in-person client meetings, and travel as needed for client-related activity. Prior client-facing experience with high net worth individuals preferred.
  • Experience constructing tax-aware portfolio solutions and proficiency with portfolio optimization software, such as Axioma
  • Ability to develop non-standard solutions for complex client situations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Compensation:

  • $90,000 - $135,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
