The Marketing Technology Senior Developer works in the office and designs, develops, integrates, deploys, and supports technology solutions that promote our marketing and digital experience capabilities following Marketing goals/metrics. You will report to the Vice President, Information Security, partnering with Marketing Technology, Enterprise Technology, Data & Analytics, and external development teams. Translating complex requirements into secure, scalable, supportable solutions across websites, marketing platforms, data services, APIs, and cloud environments.
The Opportunity:
You will combine hands-on application development with strong business partnership. We expect the developer to understand marketing workflows, to recommend practical technical approaches, to build and test solutions. This will include document designs, support releases across environments and troubleshoot production issues while continuously improving reliability and operational efficiency.
The Day-to-Day:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications that support marketing websites, landing pages, lead generation, personalization, content delivery, and digital experience programs.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clean, scalable implementations, working closely with Marketing Technology partners and internal or external development partners.
- Build and maintain front-end experiences using modern web technologies and frameworks, with emphasis on responsive design, accessibility, performance, reusable components, and maintainable code.
- Develop and support back-end services, APIs, serverless functions, data access logic, and integrations between marketing platforms and enterprise systems.
- Create data-processing patterns, including pagination, batching, replay or recovery options, error handling, regional failover behavior, logging, and monitoring.
- Support marketing data and activation workflows by connecting content management, customer data, personalization, analytics, identity, and downstream campaign systems.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap for marketing platforms, identifying opportunities to improve architecture, performance, scalability, security, and developer experience.
- Partner with platform owners and solution architects to shape requirements for new features, integrations, and platform extensions.
- Manage development work through established source control, peer review, testing, change management, approval, and release processes across development, UAT, and production environments.
- Investigate incidents and defects, determine causes, implement durable fixes, and communicate status and technical effects clearly to partners.
- Develop proofs of concept and lightweight internal tools or dashboards to validate ideas, improve operational visibility, and accelerate informed decision-making.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution diagrams, API specifications, deployment notes, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience in application development, front-end engineering, full-stack development, systems integration, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience delivering production software and integrations in enterprise or high-availability environments.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web application development.
- Experience developing or consuming APIs and working with cloud-hosted applications, services, or databases.
- Analyze complex technical and business situations, evaluate options, and develop practical solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
