Fisher Investments is looking for Information Technology Interns to support important project-based assignments that impact our growing business.

 

The Opportunity:

 

During our 10-week, paid summer internship program, you will receive hands-on training, project-based assignments, and dedicated mentorship to support your development as an Information Technology professional in the financial services industry. You will learn new technologies and help improve existing tools and standards as we move to our new technology platforms.

 

Project based work may include:

  • Build automated reports using a variety of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Build templates/guidelines/standards for work intake and execution.
  • Develop, review, and edit documentation on software development practices and standards.
  • Develop or modify common code, integration, and security tools.
  • Capture and document solution requirements.
  • Contribute to programming specifications, logic flow charts and process diagrams.
  • Test and debugs work.
  • Assist with the support of infrastructure systems.

In addition to training, you will participate in regular professional development activities where you will have the chance to engage with firm leaders, learn about the culture at Fisher Investments, and network with peers.

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Participate in industry-leading training courses in the classroom and on-the-job training.
  • Contribute to assigned project work that will build essential skills supporting future business value.
  • Collaborate and engage with fellow interns through projects and competitions.
  • Participate in professional development programming to enhance your overall skills.
  • Develop competencies required for success in future opportunities in information technology positions within the firm.

Your Qualifications:

  • Attending an accredited university graduating between December 2026 and August 2027.
  • Knowledge of MIS systems, including Service Now, Jira, or similar tools, CRM.
  • Experience with developing software applications, integrations, and automation tools.
  • Ability to relocate and attend in person for 10 weeks at Fisher Investment in Camas, WA or Plano, TX.

Additional qualifications may include:

  • Knowledge of various programming languages (C#, .Net, SQL, DAX, etc.).
  • Knowledge of reporting tools, such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of automation and test data management tools such as Test Complete Pro, NeoLoad, or GenRocket.
  • Knowledge of automation, configuration management, and deployment tools in cloud platforms, such as Azure.

Program Dates:

  • Camas, WA: June 10 – August 14, 2025
  • Plano, TX: May 26 – July 31, 2025

Compensation:

  • $20 an hour for 10 weeks at 40 hours per week
  • Eligible for a discretionary relocation stipend
