The Accessibility Program Manager is an essential role in Fisher Investments' Corporate Communications department. In the role, you will help ensure Accessibility best practices are maintained throughout the organization to support our commitment to the latest standards in the US and abroad.
The Day-to-Day:
- Champion accessibility inside the organization via communication of its purpose, methods, and importance.
- Help maintain and improve the accessibility of the company's content directly.
- Website & App - Partner with designers, content creators, software developers, and page builders to ensure accessibility needs are incorporated into the platforms.
- Manage regular testing of website content internally and with third-party vendors.
- PDFs & E-mail Content - Partner with designers and content creators to ensure accessibility needs are incorporated into the output.
- Videos/Podcasts/Webinars - Partner with Multimedia teams to ensure content generated is optimized for accessibility and has secondary formats (i.e. transcripts) provided as warranted.
- Identify other opportunities to improve the firm’s accessibility approach.
- Act as SME and lead the adoption of best practices, procedures and training within the organization to ensure improvements are made and maintained.
- Manage third-party vendor supporting our accessibility efforts. Engage other vendors as appropriate to ensure their solutions meet our needs in this space.
- Stay abreast of changes to standards in the accessibility space both in the US and internationally (WCAG 2.2 as it applies to the ADA and EAA).
Your Qualifications:
- 5+ years Accessibility experience
- Strong Program Management experience
- Accessibility Program leadership experience a strong plus
- Strong Project Management experience across various content formats
- Strong Leadership traits
- Great communication skills
- Ability to build & lead a small team implementing cross-functional change
- Financial services experience a plus but not necessary
