Overview

The Accessibility Program Manager works in the office and is an essential role in Fisher Investments' Corporate Communications department. The Program Manager will help ensure Accessibility best practices are maintained throughout the organization to support our commitment to the latest standards in the US and abroad.

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Champions accessibility inside the organization via communication of its purpose, methods, and importance.
  • Maintains and improves the accessibility of the company's content directly.
  • Partners with designers, content creators, software developers, and page builders to ensure accessibility needs are incorporated into the website and application platforms.
  • Manages regular testing of website content internally and with third-party vendors.
  • Partners with designers and content creators to ensure accessibility needs are incorporated into the output. (i.e. PDFs & E-mail Content)
  • Partners with Multimedia teams to ensure content (i.e. Videos/Podcasts/Webinars) generated is optimized for accessibility and has secondary formats (i.e. transcripts) provided as warranted.
  • Identifies other opportunities to improve the firm’s accessibility approach.
  • Acts as SME and lead the adoption of best practices, procedures and training within the organization to ensure improvements are made and maintained.
  • Manages third-party vendor supporting our accessibility efforts. Engages other vendors as appropriate to ensure their solutions meet our needs in this space.
  • Stays abreast of changes to standards in the accessibility space both in the US and internationally (WCAG 2.2 as it applies to the ADA and EAA).
  • Works onsite, under direct supervision, in a team-based and open office environment

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Accessibility experience preferred
  • Strong Program Management experience
  • Accessibility Program leadership experience preferred
  • Strong Project Management experience across various content formats
  • Strong Leadership traits
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to build and lead a small team implementing cross-functional change
  • Financial services experience preferred

Compensation:

  • $90,000 - $130,000 base salary per year for employees in the state of WA. Employees new to the role should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
  • Employees will continue to be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
